Make Room to Move
Recreation is a fundamental part of individual and community well-being in New Brunswick. Recreation N.B. | Loisirs N.-B. is a provincial nonprofit organization dedicated to building healthy, vibrant communities by developing and promoting recreation and parks, including play, physical activity, arts, culture, outdoor pursuits, and more. All are essential for creating positive and supportive environments that foster healthy and happy citizens.
Our members play a crucial role in helping New Brunswickers Make Room to Move. Through designing inclusive programs, leading activity breaks, organizing community events, and providing safe, accessible spaces for physical activity, they help remove barriers and make it easier for people of all ages and abilities to integrate movement into their daily routines.
Our Future
Communities will recognize the value of recreation and leisure as an essential service contributing to a happy, healthy, New Brunswick.

Make Room to Move is a national initiative by ParticipACTION. The campaign motivates people to identify ways to reduce barriers to movement and make room for physical activity in their daily routines, whether that’s at home, at work, at school, and in community spaces.
